About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to support construction projects by sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring all materials are delivered on time and within budget. This role is critical to maintaining efficient site operations across multiple active projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop supplier relationships to secure cost-effective, high-quality materials
- Place orders in line with project schedules and operational demands
- Issue daily order sheets and coordinate with internal teams to improve efficiency
- Provide accurate delivery ETAs and proactively manage delays or changes
- Liaise with commercial and production teams to ensure materials meet project requirements
- Coordinate site collections including muck-away, haulage, tarmac, and concrete
- Arrange plant and site-to-site transport
- Support site mobilisations and new project starts
- Mentor and support Trainee and Assistant Buyers
