We are recruiting a Procurement Lead to join a Strategic Projects business working on large-scale construction projects. This is a senior procurement role with responsibility for developing and delivering procurement strategies, managing supply chains, and driving value across complex projects. You will play a key role in risk management, value engineering, contract administration, and leading procurement teams to ensure high standards of performance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement project action plans with a strong focus on risk management, opportunity identification, and value engineering to support successful project delivery.
- Oversee all procurement activities, including setting and maintaining a coherent procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, producing high-quality subcontract documentation, and managing supply chain relationships.
- Develop and manage procurement schedules, ensure robust reporting controls are in place, and provide strategic input to improve overall project performance.
- Lead, motivate, and support procurement teams, facilitate effective communication, chair meetings, and encourage individual learning and professional development.
- Monitor and review systems, contract documentation, and tendering processes to drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with CS3 and Strategic Projects procurement standards, as well as relevant regulations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience on large-scale construction projects
- NEC contract experience (advantageous)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong IT capability, including experience with e-tendering systems
- A proactive, committed approach with a strong focus on quality
- Professional membership within the construction industry (preferred)
