We’re currently recruiting for an Assistant Estimator on behalf of a well established, privately owned construction contractor based in the Bedworth area. The company has a strong track record delivering projects across the industrial and commercial sectors, with schemes ranging from smaller developments through to projects in excess of £30m. With continued growth and an ambitious pipeline of work, they’re now looking to add an Assistant Estimator to their pre-construction team. This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Estimator or someone looking to take the next step in their estimating career. You’ll work closely with an experienced Senior Estimator, gaining hands-on exposure to the full estimating process and working across a variety of projects. The Senior Estimator has extensive experience within the industry and is particularly passionate about developing junior talent, making this an excellent environment for someone who wants to learn, progress and build a long-term career in estimating.
The Role
- Assisting with the preparation of tenders and estimates
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and other tender information
- Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Assisting with cost plans and pricing
- Working closely with the wider pre-construction team
- Developing your understanding of the full estimating process
- Supporting the team across a range of commercial and industrial projects
About You
- Previous experience within estimating, ideally within construction
- Could suit an experienced Assistant Estimator or someone looking to move into estimating
- Good understanding of construction processes and terminology
- Strong attention to detail and numerical ability
- Keen to learn and develop within a supportive environment
- Good communication and organisational skills
