Edge Careers are looking for an 'Assistant or Junior Site Engineer' for a Groundworks Contractor. We are looking for someone that already has a couple of years experience upwards who is looking to join a reputable business, which can provide great development and support working within a great team of experienced site and senior site engineers.
Company van, fuel card provided, 23 days annual leave – working hours 7:30am to 5pm.

This Groundworks Contractor predominantly operates within the Residential Sector. They specialise in roads, sewers, infrastructure, bulk earthworks and housing plot groundworks.
What’s expected of you:
- Good understanding of construction techniques and groundworks.
- Knowledge of technical equipment for the role (Leica, Trimble etc).
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Ability to have a high level of accuracy and quality engineering to assist site teams and other site engineers with output of quality and ensuring a compliant product.
- Ensuring that the latest drawings and information provided is accurate by checking drawing registers for all site operations and liaising with the technical department/team.
- Any discrepancies to be resolved with the Technical Department.
- Ensure that all setting out is checked once completed to ensure no errors have occurred during the process or from the client.
- Keeping and logging adequate records for future reference and backup.
- Store points and record changes or errors via email.
- Ensure that any site/sites are monitored for setting out requirements by liaison with the relevant Contract Manager, Project Manager or Site Foreman.
- Reaction to urgent requirements and prioritising workload on site and communication with other site engineers.
- Checking instruments used are accurate and secure by maintaining a testing and service calibration regime.
- Maintaining company and client Health & Safety policy at all times.
