At the heart of a growing professional women’s programme, Warwickshire County Cricket Club is looking for an Assistant Coach to help shape the next phase of Bears Women. Based at Edgbaston and working closely with the Head Coach, you will be a key part of the first-team coaching group, contributing directly to match preparation, on-field performance and the long-term development of players in a demanding, high-performance environment.
The role spans the planning and delivery of high-quality training, hands-on technical and tactical coaching across all formats, and leading on individual development plans for identified players, while working collaboratively with sports science, medical, data, academy and operations colleagues.
We are seeking an experienced coach with strong women’s cricket experience and a proven understanding of the professional game. You will bring significant exposure to high-performance environments, confidence in designing and delivering effective coaching programmes, and the credibility to influence and support players and staff. Excellent communication, organisation and adaptability are essential, alongside a commitment to upholding ECB regulations and living the Club’s PRIDE values.
An ECB Level 3 or 4 coaching qualification (or internationally recognised equivalent), plus current DBS and safeguarding training, are required, as is the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and travel as part of the role.
