Passionate about using cricket to connect, inspire, and transform communities? Join Warwickshire Cricket Foundation as our Cricket Cities Community Coach and play a key role in expanding access to cricket within inner-city communities. This 12-month maternity cover role is based at Edgbaston Cricket Ground and reports to the Women and Girls Community Manager.

You will deliver high-quality community coaching sessions as part of the Cricket Cities project, support the promotion of female participation programmes, and work closely with community and external partners to strengthen WCF’s community cricket offer. You will actively promote WCF activities to schools and local stakeholders, support communities in accessing cricket, and ensure accurate monitoring and reporting in line with funding requirements.

We are seeking an experienced female coach with a strong background in community delivery, including coaching women and girls in inner-city and culturally diverse settings. You will have a clear understanding of the barriers to female participation in physical activity and a genuine commitment to improving the physical and mental wellbeing of women and girls through sport.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and accountability, with clear alignment to WCF’s PRIDE values: Passion, Respect, Innovation, Diversity, and Excellence.

Essential requirements include:

  • A recognised sports coaching qualification
  • First aid and safeguarding qualifications
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • A driving licence

This role works closely with women’s groups from a variety of cultural and religious backgrounds, where a female coach is a genuine occupational requirement due to community needs and preferences. While some sessions will be mixed gender, the focus is on supporting and engaging female participants.

If you’re ready to make a real impact and help shape the future of women and girls’ cricket across Warwickshire, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and be part of something extraordinary.
