We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team, supporting the smooth running of our kitchens across four hotel buildings. In this role, you will ensure a timely supply of clean dishes, pots and equipment, and help maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas, in line with the Hotel’s policies and procedures.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain a steady supply of clean dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans for all outlets in the Hotel.
- Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure all pans, pots and utensils are returned to their correct locations once cleaned.
- Ensure the kitchen is well‑stocked with plates, china and hot plates for service.
- Keep glassware organised and storage areas tidy at all times.
- Assist with the breakdown of banquet functions and wash dishes following events.
- Sweep, mop and clean kitchens, clearing counters and shelves as required.
- Monitor waste levels and remove rubbish to the designated refuse area.
- Help kitchen staff maintain clear and organised work areas, ensuring equipment is stored correctly.
- Adhere to all health, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
About You:
You will ideally have experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment and be committed to delivering high standards of service and cleanliness. You will be reliable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a busy team. You should also be able to:
- Lift and carry kitchen equipment safely.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
