Job Description:

Department: Power Analytics / Energy Market Analytics

Main responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor market fundamentals, policy changes, and news flows, converting insights into assumptions or scenarios for trading and risk management.
  • Working closely with Power Analytics team, maintain the in-house pan-European Stack and statistical models for Italy and Iberia.
  • Drive initiatives to improve model accuracy (e.g., back-testing, error analysis) and extend modelling framework.
  • Identify actionable trade ideas.
  • Contribute to weekly analyst meetings, participate in cross-functional meetings (e.g. with Transmission and Regulation).
  • Guide the front office IT team in acquiring new data sources.
  • Liaise with the other desks.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to support PPA or origination deals and to other teams within analytics (e.g. gas analytics), review external analysis.

Experience required:

  • Experience in the Italian power market in a trading environment beneficial.
  • Ideally some Spanish experience.

  • Able to handle pressure and adapt priorities proactively.
