Are you an experienced construction professional who enjoys working outdoors and supervising a team? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our Civils Construction team as a Working Construction Supervisor at Hinkley Point C. This role is subject to Union Agreement rates, terms & conditions.
What you'll do
- Supervising operatives and carrying out construction site activities, including carpentry, excavation, pipe-laying, plant operation, groundworks, and concreting.
- Ensuring all works are completed and compliant with company policies and procedures, targets are met, and health, safety and quality is always maintained.
- Managing team awareness to improve safety and reduce accidents/incidents.
- Protecting our workforce from injury.
- Managing interfaces with other departments, building relationships, promoting a consistent approach, technical advice, and swift resolution of any identified problems.
- Working within a team that works outdoors in all weathers and deals with different challenges every day, providing a vital service to our client.
- Embodying our company and client values, and promoting these values through your own and your teams' behaviours.
What you'll need
- NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery, or equivalent with experience in construction/groundworks.
- Plant machinery tickets e.g. rollers, excavators etc.
- Relevant construction site supervisory experience.
- Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) qualification.
