About the Role

We are EDF Renewables - a dedicated and forward-thinking owner-operator with an extensive pipeline of new wind projects, committed to your safety, well-being, and a great employee experience.

Reward: £34k - £50k, according to experience (We have a graded reward package to suit new entrants to the renewables industry through to the most experienced Wind Turbine Technicians).

Working hours: New Technician (37hrs) to Service Technician Level 3 (40hrs).

What you’ll do:

  • Become a Multi-Skilled Authorised Technician under the EDFR Wind Turbine Safety Rules working on one or more Wind Turbine Variants.
  • Opportunity to become a High Voltage Single Feed Senior Authorised Person under EDFR E&M Safety Rules.
  • Undertake Major Component (Gearbox, Generator, Transformer etc) Replacements.
  • Complex fault finding and repair on Electrical, Hydraulic and Convertor Systems both remotely and at the Wind Turbine.
  • Complete Scheduled Maintenance to high standards and take pride in the assets that you maintain.
  • Complete internal & external technical and safety training to develop your skills.
  • Typically work in a two-person working party within a supportive team environment.

What skills do you need?

You’ll be a skilled engineer with great Electrical and/or Mechanical maintenance experience. We can train you to multi-skill.

Location: Fenlands, Peterborough Service Centre (PE7 2EU) - For this role, you will generally be located within 1 hour drive.
