Overview
Under the hierarchical responsibility of the Framatome Site Manager to whom he/she reports, the EM2 Site Works Coordinator is responsible for supporting the EM2 Work Package Leaders in the coordination of the site works associated with the EM2 package within the contractual context of the HPC construction site.
- Package EM2.1 – Installation of main primary system components
- Package EM2.2 – Installation of reactor equipment
- Package EM11.2 – Assistance to commissioning
In compliance with the safety and security rules, quality and project schedule applicable on site, local labor regulations.
He/she is supported by all of the EM2 project and installation sections.
He/she supports the Work Package Leaders in managing the contractual or functional interfaces with the Site manager, the site staff, the project department and the erection engineering teams, the other site erection units, site QA, site H&S and customer supervision, local administration or the safety authorities.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Work Package Leaders and coordinating the activities of the teams placed at their disposal to perform the tasks of the scope of works.
- Ensuring that the schedule is achievable with the available resources.
- Anticipating manpower shortfalls or surpluses according to the overall site bar-chart and needs from the Work Package Leaders.
- Putting forward proposals for early completion or rescheduling of the works.
- Following-up non-conformance reports and managing the observation sheets of EM2 works packages at Leaders\’ requests.
- Participating to internal coordination, progress, quality and budget site meetings.
- Weekly reporting on specific EM2 activities at Work Package Leaders\’ requests to the Project and Site managers.
- Monitoring the progress of additional or contingency works, updating forecasts and project closeout, cash-flow requirements, the drawing-up and following-up of contracts with the support of the Project & Cost Control and administration sections.
- Ensuring that administrative and Health & Safety rules are applied on site and that a permanent monitoring system is put in place.
- Capitalizing the feedbacks from operations for the benefit of future projects.

- Qualified general engineer with extensive experience of new works, large-scale maintenance operations, large component replacement (RPVH, SG etc) and management of projects abroad.
- Ability to manage a team of over one hundred people (bringing together teams of expatriates and local personnel) and subcontractors with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
- Ability to manage an erection site, including putting in place an efficient organization, budgetary and subcontract management.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical assembly and welding required.
- Ability to communicate (both internally and with the project or engineering groups or the customer and suppliers) and well developed didactic skills.
- Well-developed organizational and methodological skills.
- Ability to form quality relationships with the different units, both internally and with the customer, subcontractors and local service providers.
