You’ll play a key role in research that supports the transition towards An Electric Britain, using your technical insight to guide innovative graphite programmes across our fleet. From developing knowledge that supports AGR lifetime ambitions to exploring future reactor technology applications, your work will directly contribute to our long‑term strategy.
This hybrid role is based at our Gloucester Business Park office, with 2–3 days a week on site. You’ll collaborate with specialists, technical leads, and partners across the UK, building relationships that support impactful R&D delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working with specialist engineers to understand current and future R&D activities that support the Graphite AGR operational lifetime strategy.
- Supporting an innovative graphite disposal programme in collaboration with Nuclear Restoration Services and other industry stakeholders.
- Co‑ordinating graphite related R&D activities across internal and external partners.
- Developing and clearly articulating R&D strategy related to graphite programmes.
- Preparing documentation, briefings, and updates for governance and strategy boards.
- Building expertise in graphite topics to become an active contributor to ongoing R&D programmes.
