The Quality Engineer is responsible for all aspects of maintenance and improvement of Blackwell business systems on the Sizewell C project. This includes:
- Maintenance and action of audits and inspections schedule.
- Maintenance of ISO9001 and similar accreditations including facilitating and responding/actioning the findings of third-party auditors.
- Management of all document control within the project.
- Development and reporting of key metrics to show performance against business systems targets.
- Documentation of key processes and procedures.
- Ownership of the project Non-conformance register.
- Ownership of the audits and inspection schedule.
- Maintenance of Master ITP's/ITC's, working with Technical Director for revision/improvement.
- Training of use for Engineers etc.
- Assisting Engineers in particularisation of Master ITP's/ITC's.
- Audits and inspections ensuring compliance with ITP's/ITC's.
- Reporting key metrics including:
- 100% of works fully 'signed off' within 2 weeks of completion on site.
- Aim for at least 2/3 of all fill placed in a month to be 'signed off' by month end.
- Owner of all NCR's including co-ordination of investigations and implementation of CAR's.
- Assist Technical Director with subject matter training for Engineers.
- Owner of the QA systems including development on Project Lot Register and the ultimate co-ordinator of handover.
Qualification: Degree level or equivalent qualification.
Experience: Five years' experience of managing an accredited quality system. Must have an Engineering background. Experience with an earthworks or other specialist contractor with similar processes. Advanced abilities with the Microsoft SharePoint stack including:
- Creation and management of views, lists, Document Libraries and meta-data.
- Usage of lookup fields and indexing.
- Integration with Microsoft Teams and Power Platform.
Advanced ability with Microsoft Power Platform including:
- Making PowerAutomate flows for data handling and process control.
- Making PowerApps to solve immediate business problems.
