The Opportunity
As a Product Engineer - Server Infrastructure, you’ll play a key role in delivering complex engineering solutions that support critical business platforms and services. Your work will help strengthen our technical foundations and contribute to our journey towards An Electric Britain.
You’ll join us on a salary starting of £48,000 per annum (depending on experience), with the potential for an annual bonus. This is a hybrid working role, that balances time at home and on site to support collaboration and delivery. There will therefore be occasional travel to our offices within the UK.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and stakeholders, developing your technical capability while contributing to well-defined projects. EDF will support your growth through structured learning, hands-on delivery and opportunities to deepen your expertise in secure, large-scale environments.
Who You Are
We’re looking for a Project Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working to clear standards and contributing to reliable outcomes. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:
- Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory engineering, including: domain/forest design, replication health, Sites & Services, naming/OU strategies, delegated administration, schema awareness.
- Deep knowledge of Group Policy: design, versioning, baselining, troubleshooting and automation of GPO deployment.
- Solid experience administering and engineering Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), including: core roles & features, eventing & troubleshooting, patching strategies, server hardening & baselines.
- Expert-level PowerShell skills for scripting, automation, remediation and operational tooling.
- Practical experience applying configuration-as-code to infrastructure: DSC, policy-based management, scripted tenant configs, version control, pipeline deployment, Continuous improvement practices.
- Experience with hybrid identity and directory synchronisation concepts.
- Good understanding of M365 tenant configuration, particularly areas that require alignment to AD identity and policy baselines.
- Ability to translate infrastructure needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
Security Vetting
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Clearance (SC), which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last five years.
