The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Occupational Health Nurse/Technician to join our dedicated team at Dungeness B on a permanent basis. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things Occupational Health, offering guidance and support to employees across the site.
You’ll work closely with staff, line managers, and HR professionals, providing advice on statutory legislation and best practices. This full-time, on-site role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on employee wellbeing and safety.
Pay, Benefits & Culture
The salary range associated with this role is between £35,059 – £42,383. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our Occupational Health service, conducting health surveillance, fitness for work medicals, and health assessments including drug and alcohol testing. You’ll also offer mental health advice and support, helping to foster a culture of wellbeing across the site.
You’ll work autonomously, using your interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with employees. Your guidance will help shape a safe and supportive working environment, ensuring our teams are fit, healthy, and ready to contribute to our mission.
By implementing and supporting occupational health programmes, you’ll play a key role in prioritising employee health and safety, making a tangible impact on our journey to Net Zero.
Who You Are
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a solid foundation in healthcare and a commitment to continuous professional development. You must hold a NVQ Level 3 in Care (or equivalent) as a minimum requirement.
If you’re applying for the Occupational Health Technician position, an OHT qualification is desirable. If you don’t yet hold this, you’ll be supported to complete it within your first 12 months. For the Occupational Health Nurse position, you must be a Registered Nurse.
Your understanding of medical confidentiality, ethics, and accountability will be key to delivering responsible and compassionate care to our employees.
