The Opportunity
Alongside earning a salary of £37,500 per annum, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a critical area of the UK’s energy infrastructure. You’ll also benefit from a tailored training plan and mentoring from industry experts to help you grow your confidence, knowledge and leadership skills.
This 16-month programme offers a unique opportunity to work within EDF’s Nuclear Security Team – a centre of excellence supporting the UK’s nuclear fleet and new build projects. You’ll rotate across key areas including cyber security, personnel vetting, operational support and security design. You’ll also contribute to regulatory activities and help protect EDF’s assets from evolving threats.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Nuclear Security Graduate at EDF, you’ll gain hands-on experience, develop technical and professional skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that support the UK’s journey to Net Zero.
- Help protect EDF’s nuclear fleet from threats including terrorism and sabotage
- Assess cyber risks to IT and operational technology systems
- Contribute to the development of the Security Regime for Nuclear New Builds.
- Prepare for and respond to cyber incidents
Your Work Location
Your primary base will be our state-of-the-art office in #Gloucester, with the option to work from home on a hybrid basis where appropriate and in line with your placement and work commitments. Some placements may also offer the opportunity to travel to other EDF sites across the UK.
Who You Are
To be eligible for this EDF graduate programme, you need to have achieved, or be expecting to achieve, a bachelor’s degree (2:2 or higher) in Cyber Security, Risk Management, Assurance Management, Security Management or Programme Management.

Security Vetting
