Reward:

  • £36,500 - £48,500 according to experience
  • Working hours - New Technician (37hrs) plus overtime is available.

What you'll do:

  • Take the technical lead on onboarding newly acquired turbines while also helping to elevate our expertise on GE and Senvion platforms.
  • Become a Multi-Skilled Authorised Technician under the EDFR Wind Turbine Safety Rules working on one or more Wind Turbine Variants.
  • Opportunity to become a High Voltage Single Feed Senior Authorised Person under EDFR E&M Safety Rules.
  • Undertake Major Component (Gearbox, Generator, Transformer etc) Replacements.
  • Complex fault finding and repair on Electrical, Hydraulic and Convertor Systems both remotely and at the Wind Turbine.
  • Complete Scheduled Maintenance to high standards and take pride in the assets that you maintain.
  • Complete internal & external technical and safety training to develop your skills.
  • Typically work in a two-person working party within a supportive team environment.

Who are you?

  • Physically fit, safety-focused, and love hands-on work.
  • Capable of working at height (within and outside the turbine) and in exposed and remote locations.
  • Enthusiastic about green energy.

What skills do you need?

  • Skilled engineer with great electrical maintenance experience, having worked on three phase systems or heavy plant electrical.
  • Previous experience on wind farms is beneficial, but not essential. We can train you to multi-skill.

Location: Goole Service Centre - Goole, East Yorkshire, DN14 6XL. For this role, you will generally be located within 45 minutes of the site and have a full UK drivers licence. You will be open to travelling to other sites to support where necessary.
