Are you ready to play a pivotal role in one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects? As Non-Conformance Manager at Hinkley Point C, you’ll lead a dynamic team driving quality and compliance across a complex, high-profile nuclear build. If you’re passionate about process excellence and stakeholder collaboration, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

The Opportunity

At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes. As Non-Conformance Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the Quality Department, ensuring the effectiveness of the NCR process across internal, manufacturing, and site operations. You’ll lead a team spanning the UK and France, working closely with a wide range of stakeholders—from supply chain and commissioning teams to regulatory bodies and IT developers—to ensure alignment, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

In addition to a competitive salary of £65,000, we offer a competitive benefits package, including a company pension scheme, and a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle. We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated. Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility. We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments. We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll lead the development and implementation of NCR management processes, ensuring they’re robust, efficient, and aligned with project milestones. This includes managing contractor non-conformance, quarantine and red works, and categorisation processes, while chairing governance committees and driving continuous improvement. Your leadership will ensure the NCR team operates as a cohesive unit across borders, supporting the resolution of issues and the closure of non-conformances. You’ll also oversee the development of IT tools, ensuring they’re user-friendly, aligned with project needs, and integrated with wider systems. By collaborating with stakeholders across logistics, manufacturing, and commissioning, you’ll ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively, trends are analysed, and best practices are shared across the project.

Who You Are

You bring a strong background in project delivery with a focus on quality, and a deep understanding of QA/QC across the full project lifecycle—from engineering and procurement to commissioning. You’re confident communicating with diverse audiences, and you thrive on collaboration, influence, and continuous improvement. You’re experienced in managing teams and leading quality initiatives in complex, contract-led environments. Your analytical mindset and ability to challenge constructively make you a trusted advisor and problem-solver. You’re proactive, adaptable, and fluent in English, with a passion for driving results. Ideally, you’re familiar with NCR tools like SWITCH and hold a recognised qualification in Quality, Engineering, or Project Management. Experience in the nuclear sector, knowledge of site licence conditions, and French language skills are all advantageous. A background in materials, welding, or NDT would also be a plus. Additionally, you must meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which generally requires you to have been a UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.

Closing date for applications is Sunday 13th July, interviews will follow shortly after.
