Job Responsibilities:- To ascertain job requirements from drawings and/or other specifications.
- To examine faulty plant or machinery and to ascertain nature and location of defects.
- To study plant or machinery drawings, technical manuals or other specifications.
- To determine sequence and method of required operations.
- To dismantle plant or machinery and remove damaged or worn parts.
- To repair defective parts, obtain replacement parts or prepare new parts using hand and machine tools.
- To fit and assemble parts to rebuild plant or machinery.
- To test plant or machinery for correct functioning and make necessary adjustments.
- To carry out service tasks such as cleaning, oiling and greasing, according to schedule.
- To perform all of these tasks in relation to the repair and servicing of various types of mechanical plant and industrial machinery.
- To operate overhead crane/basic slinging in a safe manner.
- To install or reposition plant or machinery.
- To modify standard machinery for special purposes.
- To adhere to all safety requirements including safety checks of tools and equipment.
- To use all relevant workshops/site equipment associated with job requirements including all relevant training/certification requirements.
- Approved Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3.
- Minimum 2 (two) years site experience, with experience on Petro-Chemical Site.
- Must have a valid Safety Passport.
