Job Responsibilities


β€’ Coordinate subcontractor Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) activities for a defined
section of the works, ensuring outputs are delivered in line with project requirements.
β€’ Develop construction methodologies and undertake constructability reviews for
marine construction activities, including:
β–ͺ Onshore work hubs and muster ports supporting offshore operations
β–ͺ Marine logistics, vessel navigation and mooring arrangements
β–ͺ Heavy lifting and transportation operations
β–ͺ Large diameter drilling and piling activities
β–ͺ Grouting operations
β€’ Review and assess proposed construction solutions, identifying impacts on safety,
programme, cost and risk.
β€’ Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with the section of works.
β€’ Develop scopes of work and technical requirements for subcontract tender packages
and support procurement activities, including subcontractor evaluations


Qualifications


Essential


β€’ Experience within a marine or preconstruction environment.
β€’ Experience working within a contractor or principal contractor organisation on engineering
or construction projects.
β€’ Good appreciation of programme, cost and risk considerations during project planning
and delivery.
β€’ Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and interfaces
simultaneously.
β€’ Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues,
designers, subcontractors and clients.
β€’ Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver them with limited supervision.


Desirable


β€’ Experience of marine operations, offshore construction, ports, coastal or major
infrastructure projects.
β€’ Familiarity with the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM).
β€’ Experience contributing to subcontractor procurement and tendering activities.
β€’ Understanding of marine logistics, vessel operations or offshore construction techniques.
β€’ Professional accreditation or working towards chartership with a relevant institution.
β€’ Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, SSSTS, BOSIET, GWO
