Permanent Accountabilities

  • Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project. Ensuring all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations.
  • Manage a set area within the Balance of Plant (BOP) on the HPC project.
  • As part of a multi-disciplinary team, drive the project to support the safe delivery of the areas on time, to the right quality to the highest safety standards.
  • Ensure the appropriate deliverables are produced on time to ensure no delays to construction activities.
  • Ensure Configuration Control is maintained across the scope Works Information.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Raise technical queries and monitor progress.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in construction or mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Or HND/HNC in construction or mechanical or electrical engineering (desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in a Major Project Engineering (Construction) role (essential).
  • CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport.
  • Capable of obtaining security clearance of BPSS or higher.
  • Professional accreditation (preferred).
  • Navis Works knowledge (desirable).
  • Knowledge of NEC ECC Contract is desirable.
  • Proven experience of safely delivering large scale construction or engineering projects.
  • Experience in the heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial as is experience in working within a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.

  • Supporting the BOP Building Leads to deliver the scope.
  • Provide a weekly report on progress and update to programme.
  • Productivity reviews and control of hours.
  • Construction method improvement plans.
  • Lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
