The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

Under the hierarchical responsibility of the Framatome Site Manager and the functional responsibility of the IBC Home Office Senior manager, the Installation Manager is responsible for the execution of the site works associated with the EM2 package within the contractual context of the HPC construction site.

Packages included: EM2.1 "Installation of main primary system components", EM2.2 "Installation of reactor equipment", EM11.2 "Assistance to commissioning". The role is to conduct these works in compliance with safety and security rules, quality and project schedule applicable on site, and local labour regulations.

The Installation Manager is the main on-site contact and manages contractual or functional interfaces with PCM manager, PCM site staff, the project department and erection engineering teams, other site erection units, site QA, site H&S and customer supervision, local administration or safety authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of the teams to perform the tasks of the scope of works.
  • Set up and manage an efficient organization capable of conducting the works.
  • Be the main contact of the project team, the engineering departments, the customer or local administrations for all issues related to EM2 works or personnel.
  • Ensure that the schedule is achievable with the available resources and take the necessary measures to complete the works on time and to the required level of quality.
  • Anticipate manpower shortfalls or surpluses according to the overall site bar-chart; propose early completion or rescheduling of the works as needed.
  • Follow up non-conformance reports and manage the observation sheets of EM2 works packages.
  • Chair internal coordination, progress, quality and budget site meetings; provide weekly reporting on all EM2 activities to the Project and Site managers.
  • Monitor progress of additional or contingency works, update forecasts and project closeout, cash-flow requirements, and assist with drawing-up and follow-up of contracts with support from Project & Cost Control and administration sections.
  • Ensure that legal, administrative and Health & Safety rules are applied on site and establish a permanent monitoring system.
  • Ensure proper integration of personnel on the site and that all involved are informed of the site working methods and local rules that apply.
  • Validate timekeeping records for all personnel prior to entry of data into the management system.
  • Assess personnel skills, identify high-potential individuals and ensure transfer of skills for future projects.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

Masters degree. Qualified general engineer with extensive experience of new works, large-scale maintenance operations, large component replacement (RPVH, SG etc) and management of projects abroad.

Ability to manage a team of over one hundred people (expatriates and local personnel) and subcontractors with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams. Ability to manage an erection site, including organizing an efficient structure, budgetary and subcontract management.

Knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical assembly and welding. Ability to communicate effectively with project or engineering groups, customers and suppliers; well-developed didactic and interpersonal skills. Well-developed organizational and methodological skills. Ability to foster quality relationships with internal units, customer, subcontractors and local service providers.

Very good communication skills. Management. Schedule. English level: fluent. IT: MS 365, COEDM, Teamcenter.
