Main Duties:
- Complete Vehicle Pre Use Checklist before driving and report any faults and problems immediately.
- Drives vehicles from loading to unloading point (day or night).
- Comply with UK driving rules and regulations.
- Not consuming any narcotics at any time and alcohol before or at any time whilst driving.
- Do not smoke, eat or drink in the vehicle.
- Do not use mobile phones while driving a vehicle.
- Operates vehicle in a safe and proper manner and obeys traffic laws and the Project Driving Policies, Standards and Procedures 100% of the time.
- Secure (Lash with Webbing Straps or Chain + Chain tensioner) the cargo before starting journey.
- Record refuel data (Odometer, hour, date, litres, engine hour).
- Ensure a "zero harm" approach is taken in relation to all acts and omissions in relation to the services and the project. Acknowledge, due to the nature of the project, nuclear safety and security are of paramount importance.
- Agrees to comply with any rule, instruction or requirement of the Company in relation to the services which the company determines, in their sole and absolute discretion, is necessary for the company to comply with obligations under the nuclear site license.
- Housekeeping of the work areas; collection, segregation and disposal of wastes as required; removal of unused materials and clear the work floors to eliminate/reduce slipping or tripping risks in your work area.
- Safe use, protection, storage and care of general maintenance products, hand and power tools.
You must:
- Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).
- Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.
- Follow the training you have received when using any work items your employer has given you.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- HGV Driving License class 1.
- Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS).
- Hold or Can achieve CCNSG Safety Passport or HS&E test Operatives.
- Holding valid Driver CPC Card + Tachometer Card.
- Clean record - License Class CE (minimum).
- 25+ Years old due to Company Fleet Insurance Policy.
- ADR Ticket (We sent Ben Styles to ADR Training 5 days for Compressed Gas Cylinder Transport).
