Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our Civils Construction team as a General Construction Operative working at Hinkley Point C. This role is subject to Union Agreement rates, terms & conditions.
What you'll do
- Carrying out construction site activities, including excavation, pipe-laying, operating plant, general groundworks, and concreting.
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and are compliant with company policies and procedures, maximising all controllable factors to meet external quality targets.
- Attending safety updates and workplace communications to ensure works are carried out safely and to the best possible standard.
- Working within a great team that works outdoors in all weathers and deals with different challenges every day, providing a vital service to our client.
What you'll need
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a carpenter, with additional experience in construction/groundworks.
- Experience in pipe laying, drainage, concrete finishing, kerbing, utility installations and manhole construction.
- Experience in formwork construction, steel fixing and working on site at HPC is desirable but not essential as additional training will be provided.
- Plant tickets are desirable for this role.
