Join Our Finance Team

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will play a key role in supporting the monthly financial reporting cycle, supplier management, invoicing, and day-to-day finance operations. This flexible part-time role offers the opportunity to work any 3 long days between Monday and Friday or 5 short days, making it ideal for someone seeking work-life balance while contributing to a busy and supportive finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording financial transactions and posting journals using Sage
  • Raising purchase orders and processing supplier invoices
  • Posting weekly payroll information and company expenses
  • Managing supplier accounts, reconciliations, and payment queries
  • Processing BACS payment runs and reconciling bank accounts
  • Supporting month-end reporting and client payment applications
  • Raising client invoices relating to applications and fuel costs
  • Assisting with audits and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Ordering IT equipment, office stationery, and miscellaneous supplies

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Finance experience is preferred

Desirable:

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience using Sage accounting software
  • AAT Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
