Opportunity… We are seeking a dynamic Financial Performance Analyst to join our team. You’ll collaborate closely with the Financial Control Managers to enhance financial performance and maximise shareholder returns. You’ll provide regular insights and supporting financial reviews of various programs. As the Financial Analyst, you will be empowered to identify and drive key performance indicators. You will play a crucial role in supporting and challenging business decisions to ensure optimal financial outcomes. What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide robust support in the stewardship and governance of our programs and functions. In this role, you will assist Financial Control Managers in maintaining strong accountability and delivering insightful commentary to both internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include reviewing planning, budgeting, and forecasting information, challenging assumptions and decisions to ensure quality and consistency, monitoring performance, identifying risks, and uncovering cost-saving opportunities. Additionally, you will assure project financials and performance against committed expenditures and approved base budgets for each project or program area. Your role will involve cash forecasting, including variance analysis and inputting forward cash forecasts into relevant financial tools to aid the Treasury Department in accurate monthly funding requests from shareholders. You will also support Financial Control Managers with administrative tasks such as budget adjustments, posting adjustment journals, and conducting specific ad hoc analyses as required.
Who you are
We are seeking a Full or Partly Qualified accountant with a recognised UK Professional Organisation such as ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, or CIMA. Who can excel at building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Your excellent influencing, communication, and presentation skills will be crucial in driving our business forward. You will be adept at solving complex problems, using both logic and intuition to derive solutions that benefit both finance and the business. Your strong commercial acumen and analytical skills will be essential as you navigate the financial landscape. You will have the ability to present complex financial and business ideas both in writing and verbally, tailoring your approach to suit the audience. Your commercial and business experience will be a valuable asset, along with your strong decision-support capability.
