β’ Support estimates in accordance with the SZC policies and procedures.
β’ Generally support the Geotechnical Estimating Team with the estimate development
β’ Review SZC's drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labour
and equipment
β’ Record assumptions and identify risks and opportunities including supporting developing the risk
evaluation from a pricing/budgetary point of view.
β’ Liaise with members of the project team & supply chain to develop and understand methodologies and
principles proposed.
β’ Support in developing from first principles labour, plant material, subcontract pricing within the
Contractor's Estimating Software Candy.
β’ Producing quantity take-off's and scheduling from enquiry documents
Compiling elementary bills for pricing
β’ Preparation of supplier and sub-contractor enquiries for sourcing quotations
β’ Compilation of graphics and text to include within tender proposals
β’ Liaising with plant division to source bespoke items
β’ Working within various electronic portals to submit and retrieve information.
β’ Support package handovers to operations.
Essential
β’ Proficient in the use of excel and similar software.
β’ Good knowledge & understanding of written English & mathematics
Desirable
β’ Experienced estimating background using Candy Estimating Software.
β’ Experienced estimating background using RIB Cost X Quantification & Estimating Software.
β’ Experience of working with the AACE principles of Estimating Class and associated maturity
β’ Mobile and flexible
