The Opportunity
As a Finance Analyst supporting the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Project, you'll play a vital role in providing financial insight, governance, and performance challenge across one of Europes largest construction programmes. Working closely with Financial Control Managers and senior stakeholders, you'll contribute to delivering robust financial planning, forecasting, and reporting that underpins strategic decision-making and supports programme success. This is a role where your expertise will directly influence outcomes, ensuring value is maximised and risks are identified early. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across finance, commercial, and project controls, gaining exposure to a complex, high-profile programme environment. This role offers strong development opportunities for finance professionals, particularly those working towards or holding a Professional Financial qualification or bringing significant industry experience. You'll be empowered to challenge assumptions, identify efficiencies, and contribute to the financial stewardship of the project.
Who You Are
We're looking for a Finance Analyst who combines technical financial expertise with strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business partnering. You're confident working in complex environments, influencing stakeholders, and driving performance insight. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:
- Full or Partly Qualified accountant with recognised UK Professional Organisation (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, AAT)
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
- Experience supporting and challenging business performance in a commercial environment
- Ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience working with financial systems (e.g. SAP, Excel, Anaplan, PowerBI, or similar)
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and robust challenge
- Providing financial insight and performance analysis to support decision-making within the Site Construction Programme
- Assisting in the governance and financial control of project spend against approved budgets
- Support the Financial Control Managers in strong accountability and providing insightful commentary for other internal and external stakeholders
- Producing cash forecasts and variance analysis to support funding requirements
- Partnering with commercial and project teams to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting
