This involves maintaining your competency and knowledge of both distribution and transmission connection requirements. br /span span In this role, you will work across a diverse range of technologies and support compliance-related activities. You will collaborate with colleagues in development, engineering, construction, and operations, as well as engage with external partners, industry bodies, and technical organisations. br /span span br /span span This position is based in London/Durham/Edinburgh, with flexibility to travel across the UK as needed to support projects, suppliers, and internal teams. br /span /p /div div h2 Who You Are /h2 p span Were looking for a Grid Compliance Engineer who is proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality engineering outcomes. To be shortlisted, you need to offer: br /span span br /span span Experience as a grid compliance engineer. br /span span Experience working with transmission and distribution grid companies. br /span span Proven track record in successfully managing grid compliance processes. br /span span An engineering background in electrical or power systems. br /span span An understanding of risk, health, safety and environmental requirements. br /span span A full UK driving licence. br /span /p /div div h2 What Youll Be Doing /h2 p span Managing compliance-related interfaces with the National Energy System Operator (NESO), Transmission Owner (TO), and Distribution Network Operator (DNO) for multiple projects throughout the project lifecycle. br /span span Supporting grid engineers in assessing transmission and distribution connection offers to ensure conformance. br /span span Managing the grid code compliance process, including Balancing Mechanism Unit (BMU) and metering registration for various projects across different technologies. br /span span Conducting power system studies and reviews, identifying and resolving any issues to ensure programme milestones are maintained. br /span span Acting as the compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the project team on allocated projects to ensure queries and compliance timelines are appropriately integrated into the programme to achieve project milestones. br /span span Ensuring ongoing compliance for operational assets to meet code obligations. br /span span Providing regular reports for the allocated projects and escalating issues where required. br /span span Maintaining a good level of expertise in compliance requirements for both transmission and distribution connections. br /span span Attending industry forums, seminars, and meetings as necessary to stay updated on the grid code compliance process and current issues while building and maintaining strong relationships with key industry stakeholders. br /span span Embedding lessons learnt, engineering excellence and operational experience into engineering activities. br /span span br /span span Pay, Benefits and Culture br /span span br /span span If youre looking to join a company where you can work hard, have fun, and help to create a net zero future then youre in the right place!
