Framatome is one of the main contractors for the construction of Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant, overseeing the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of primary circuit components. Based on Hinkley Point Construction Site, the Site Contract & Commercial Manager core missions are the following:

  • Contract management
    • Manage and administer the main contract and associated subcontracts for UK4101 scope
    • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations (terms, milestones, deliverables)
    • Interpret contract clauses and provide guidance to project teams
    • Lead contractual correspondence with the client (EDF/NNB)
    • Manage notifications, claims, and variation orders
    • Coordinate Early Warning management for site topics
  • Commercial management
    • Prepare the commercial offers (variation proposal, claims, budgetary offers) and attend the Offer Review Meetings to approve internally the offer content before submission
    • Coordinate with the Customer to clarify Variation Requests (VAR) and Variation Proposals (VP)
    • Ensure communication and negotiation with the Customer
    • Coordinate transverse topics
    • Ensure a smooth and effective communication between the respective CCM Teams (HPC and Framatome)
    • Collect any request from the Customer related to Contract/Commercial, clarifies them where required and define/propose actions
    • Collect any request from Framatome related to Contract/Commercial, clarifies them where required, transmits and explains the requests to the appropriate HPC members
    • Contribute to project risk reviews (contractual and commercial risks). Develop mitigation strategies and track implementation
    • Ensure contractual risks are properly escalated and managed
    • Ensure compliance with Framatome procedures and governance rules
    • Support audits (internal/external)
    • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of contractual decisions

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Law, Business, or related field
  • Significant experience in contract & commercial management on large EPC projects
  • Knowledge of complex contracts (e.g., FIDIC or bespoke nuclear contracts)
  • Experience ideally in nuclear or highly regulated industries is highly desirable
  • Experience working on-site in an international environment would be highly appreciated

Knowledge / Soft skills:

  • About 5-years' experience, ideally in Large Projects
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Results orientation, reliable, analytical capabilities, sense of synthesis
  • Customer orientation
  • English level: High-Elementary (Bright Test reference) at minimum
  • Strong contractual and commercial acumen
  • Negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a complex project environment
  • Computer literate: standard Microsoft package
