Join our Data Analyst Apprenticeship and help Britain achieve net zero while gaining a fully funded degree and hands-on experience. The Opportunity
This Data Analyst Apprenticeship offers a starting salary of £25,000 and the training and support needed to achieve your Level 4 Data Analyst including Power BI qualification. Across this 24‑month programme, you’ll learn how to gather requirements, inspect, cleanse, model and interpret data — using your growing skills to discover insights, support decisions and improve value for our teams and customers. You’ll contribute directly to exciting projects across EDF, working with data governance controls in a nuclear, security‑sensitive environment. Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll gain exposure to Azure cloud platforms, Agile project delivery, data engineering methods and industry‑leading tools. Training is delivered virtually by QA with opportunities to collaborate closely with Technical Leads, Product Owners and partners across our business.
Your Work Location
You’ll be based at either our Gloucester Business Park office, or our offices in Heysham, with flexibility for home working. Your apprenticeship training is delivered virtually by QA, and occasional UK travel may be required depending on project needs.

- Working with Azure cloud platforms at scale to support real business needs
- Using Power BI, Python, R and data modelling techniques
- Hands‑on experience in data cleansing, transformation, governance and analytics
- Supporting Agile product teams to deliver high‑quality digital solutions
- Developing data engineering fundamentals and understanding cloud technologies
- Learning from industry experts, mentors and experienced teams across EDF
Who You Are
To be eligible for this EDF apprenticeship programme, you need to have:
- Five GCSEs (A*–C / 9–4) including English and Maths, or a Level 3 qualification such as A‑levels or BTEC
- Experience using Excel and Microsoft applications
- A passion for data, digital innovation and emerging technology
- An understanding of cloud and digital technologies and how they support business outcomes
- Strong communication skills and an enthusiasm for collaboration and problem‑solving
- The ability to travel within the UK when required

Security Vetting
