The Opportunity
As a Commercial Specialist, you’ll play a key role in our Commercial & Performance team – the commercial engine behind pricing, growth and profitability across our Retail business. Your work will directly influence how we design propositions, shape margin strategy and support EDF’s wider transition towards An Electric Britain. You’ll play an important part in ensuring our propositions remain financially sound, customer‑focused and competitive in a fast‑changing market. You’ll join us on a salary starting from circa £44,800 per annum depending on the experience you bring. This is a flexible role with hybrid working, and you’ll occasionally travel to our Hove office when required.
You’ll have the opportunity to build deep expertise in commercial finance, pricing and proposition analysis. From influencing key commercial decisions to shaping the financial assessment of future‑facing propositions – including EV tariffs, heat pump propositions and flexibility services – you’ll contribute to meaningful decisions that support our customers and EDF’s long‑term success. You’ll develop financial models, gain insight into market dynamics and be supported to grow your skills as part of a collaborative, commercially minded team.

- Working collaboratively with finance, commercial, product or operational teams
- Interpreting market or regulatory information to support decision-making
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building, owning and maintaining financial models that support pricing, margin strategy and investment decisions
- Assessing the commercial viability of propositions, including EV tariffs, time‑of‑use propositions and flexibility services
- Analysing cost drivers, margin trends and performance data to guide commercial recommendations
- Forecasting customer volumes, energy demand and portfolio performance
- Supporting commercial governance by clarifying financial assumptions, risks and opportunities
