Sizewell C’s business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Overall, whilst the Company is in the construction phase, the Boards’ principal focus is on the development and construction of Sizewell C on time, on budget and to the highest quality and safety standards. The Company is maturing to meet all these requirements.

Sizewell C is economically regulated by OFGEM under the RAB model similar to other UK electricity distribution networks and Thames Tideway. Sizewell C construction strategy is to replicate the design of Hinkley Point C, using the majority of the same supply chain, but innovating in the way it is delivered to achieve savings in time and cost of around 20%. The CCO will need to be guided by and incorporate lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C commercial delivery to achieve Sizewell C’s ambition.

Following Financial Completion and Revenue Commencement, Sizewell C is fully funded and is owned by the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero representing HM Government, La Caisse, Centrica, EDF and Amber Infrastructure.

Join one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes and help shape the future of clean energy. Sizewell C is moving into a critical delivery phase following Financial Completion, creating exciting opportunities for experienced Project Managers to join the Engineering & Delivery function across a range of major programme areas. This is a rare opportunity to work on a nationally important project, helping deliver a new generation nuclear power station that will provide low‑carbon electricity to around 6 million homes for decades to come.

We are looking for ambitious, delivery‑focused Project Managers who thrive in technically complex environments and are motivated by working at scale, influencing major decisions and driving progress across high‑profile engineering and construction programmes.

The Role

As a Project Manager at Sizewell C, you will play a key role in advancing engineering design, securing critical supply chain capability and preparing major contracts for delivery. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, the Responsible Designer (RD), quality teams and key stakeholders, you will help drive the successful delivery of Systems, Structures and Components (SSCs) across the programme. You will be responsible for ensuring engineering and procurement activities are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the high standards expected within a regulated nuclear environment.

  • Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC (MEH) - Supporting the development and mobilisation of the MEH Alliance delivery model, helping establish efficient, collaborative delivery strategies informed by lessons learned from Hinkley Point C.
  • Nuclear Island (NI) - Managing groups of systems, buildings and contracts within the Nuclear Island programme, supporting delivery of highly complex scopes valued up to £100m.
  • Civil Works - Supporting the development and delivery of major civil engineering work packages, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities across large-scale infrastructure scopes.
  • Conventional Island & Balance of Plant (CI/BOP) - Leading engineering contract delivery and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure critical plant and infrastructure systems are delivered safely, efficiently and compliantly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving delivery of engineering studies and design activities across your programme area.
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams to prepare manufacturing, construction and engineering contracts.
  • Supporting the procurement and management of major contracts and suppliers.
  • Managing interfaces across systems, contracts and programme areas to ensure integrated delivery.
  • Driving implementation of site‑specific design changes and ensuring robust technical solutions.
  • Supporting replication of Hinkley Point C designs while identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Managing technical risks, obsolescence challenges and supply chain issues.
  • Developing and implementing delivery strategies aligned to the Programme Execution Plan.
  • Monitoring delivery against cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements.
  • Supporting lessons learned, continuous improvement and knowledge capture across the programme.
  • Building strong relationships across internal teams, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.

Why Sizewell C?

  • Complex engineering challenges.
  • Major programme scale.
  • Long‑term investment and stability.

You’ll be joining a highly collaborative environment where innovation, delivery excellence and strong leadership are valued, and where your work will have visible, long‑term impact.
