About the Role
Full-time, permanent position based at Aztec West (Bristol) initially with the objective to relocate to France. As a Commercial Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing high-value contracts, influencing key stakeholders, and ensuring value is delivered across critical project scopes at Hinkley Point C and beyond.
The Opportunity
As a Commercial Manager, you'll support the successful delivery of the Responsible Designer (RD) contract at Hinkley Point C, helping drive commercial excellence across a critical engineering delivery function. Working collaboratively within a specialist team, you'll act as the first point of contact for commercial matters, managing defined scope areas while ensuring contract governance, value optimisation, and strong stakeholder engagement. Your work will directly contribute to the successful execution of a programme supporting the transition towards An Electric Britain.
Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is based at Aztec West in Bristol, with a hybrid working pattern requiring at least three days per week in the office. After approximately 18-24 months, you'll relocate to France to join EDF SA and support EPR2 projects such as Penly, Bugey, or Gravelines, gaining exposure to international project delivery and large-scale nuclear programmes. You'll need to offer business-level proficiency in French communication skills.

Are you experienced in?
- Managing commercial activities within large, complex infrastructure or engineering projects
- Administering NEC3 PSC contracts, including management of compensation events
- Contract performance, risk management, and change control processes
- Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across multidisciplinary environments
- Making sound commercial decisions involving significant financial value
- Leading or supporting commercial teams and driving high standards of delivery
- Using IT systems such as MS Excel and SAP to manage and analyse commercial data
- French oral and writing proficiency, with a keen desire to achieve business-level proficiency prior to relocating to France
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing commercial aspects of defined scope areas within the Responsible Designer contract
- Acting as the key commercial interface for project and engineering stakeholders
- Leading contract management activities, including compensation events and change control
