The Opportunity
As an HVAC Engineer, you’ll help connect our design and site installation activities, enabling progress across the project and supporting our wider transition towards An Electric Britain. Your work will ensure HVAC systems are installed safely and effectively, helping unlock the next stages of the UK’s largest infrastructure project. Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is based at #HPC with some flexible working, agreed with your Line Manager. You’ll collaborate across engineering, construction, and design teams, working closely with partners to keep delivery moving at pace. You’ll gain exposure to complex HVAC systems and industry leading practices as you help resolve technical issues, support field changes, and uphold strong quality and safety standards. You’ll learn from specialists and build deeper expertise while contributing to key installation activities that drive our journey towards An Electric Britain.
Who You Are
We’re looking for an HVAC Engineer who combines technical rigour with the confidence to lead, influence, and keep work progressing in a busy site environment. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:
- Proven experience in the nuclear HVAC system or components within multi-disciplinary projects
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering based qualification
- Meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering to achieve high professional standards
- Proven ability to deliver engineering safely to the correct quality, time and cost in a busy, schedule driven environment
- Strong people leadership skills to coordinate efficient delivery of scope through empowerment of team members and support from across the organisation
- Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously with awareness of own limitations
- Knowledge of contractual and commercial mechanisms
What You’ll Be Doing
- Acting as the interface between HVAC engineering and site teams to support installation activities
- Reviewing Field Change Requests and Non-Conformances and advising on the best technical way forward
- Providing timely technical support to help unblock issues and maintain construction progress
- Coordinating knowledge transfer between design, manufacturing, and construction partners
- Monitoring documentation, reporting non-conformances, and supporting quality processes
