Job Responsibilities

As an Estimating Apprentice, you'll be right at the heart of the action, learning how to develop accurate cost estimates for one of the UK's most exciting infrastructure projects. - Work alongside experienced Estimators to develop first-principles estimates for the Civil Works Program, ensuring every pound is accounted for.
- Review drawings and specifications to create costing sheets for materials, labour, and equipment - helping to shape the future of the project.

- Use industry-leading software like Candy Estimating Software and RIB Cost X to develop pricing and bills of quantities.
- Collaborate with project teams and the supply chain to understand methodologies and ensure estimates are realistic and achievable.
- Support presentations and negotiations, learning how to justify pricing to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- Track changes to estimates and budgets as the project evolves, gaining hands-on experience in project management.
