Overview

Join us as a Wind Turbine Technician at Dorenell Wind Farm. EDF Renewables is a dedicated owner-operator with an extensive pipeline of wind projects, focused on safety, wellbeing, and a great employee experience.

Location: Dorenell Wind Farm, Huntly, Scotland, AB54 4EL. For this role, you will generally be located within 1 hour drive.

Rewards

  • £36,500 – £62,000 according to experience (graded to suit new entrants to renewables through to the most experienced Wind Turbine Technicians).
  • Working hours: New Technician (37 hrs) to Service Technician Level 3 (40 hrs).
  • 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

What you’ll do

  • Become a Multi-Skilled Authorised Technician under the EDFR Wind Turbine Safety Rules, working on one or more Wind Turbine Variants.
  • Opportunity to become a High Voltage Single Feed Senior Authorised Person under EDFR E&M Safety Rules.
  • Undertake Major Component (Gearbox, Generator, Transformer etc) Replacements.
  • Complex fault finding and repair on Electrical, Hydraulic and Convertor Systems both remotely and at the Wind Turbine.
  • Complete Scheduled Maintenance to high standards and take pride of the assets that you maintain.
  • Complete internal & external technical and safety training to develop your skills.
  • Typically work in a two-person working party within a supportive team environment.

What skills do you need?

You’ll be a skilled engineer with great Electrical and/or Mechanical maintenance experience. We can train you to multi-skill.
