About The Role

The Opportunity
This 12‑month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work at both Sizewell B Power Station and Gloucester Business Park. Responsible for supporting the company ambition to extend the life of Sizewell B Power Station by 20 years, providing low‑carbon generation until 2055, and being mentored by highly skilled professionals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Play a key role in supporting work to extend the life of Sizewell B, focusing on one of the key programmes: Structural Integrity, Control & Instrumentation, Equipment Qualification or Ageing and Obsolescence.
- Gain exposure to large programmes of technical work, understanding lifecycle from planning to delivery of safety justifications and stakeholder engagement, risk management and compliance activities.
Your Work Location
Based in Gloucester Business Park with the Joint Technical Centre.
Who You Are
- On track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Materials or a related discipline.
- Open to a strengths‑based selection process.
- Right to work in the UK; sponsorship may be considered but priority given to those already able to work.
- Ready to meet Security Vetting criteria, including residence in the UK for at least three of the past five years.
