The Opportunity

Join EDF Business Solutions as the Senior Manager of Collections. This pivotal role involves managing a large, diverse team and overseeing Operations, Relationship Management, and Data & Insight functions. You will drive the strategy to optimise debt and revenue collection, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. What You Will Be Doing

As Senior Manager of Collections, you will lead the collection of £7.2 billion annually across 22,000 customers, managing a team of 105 onshore and offshore professionals. You will oversee Operations, Relationship Management & Delivery, and Data & Insight to achieve ambitious KPIs while ensuring a customer-focused experience. You will set the strategy to maximise cash collections and avoid debt. You will optimise debt and revenue collection, make payment easy, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement in financial performance, compliance, and team engagement.

Who You Are

We are seeking a proven leader with experience managing large teams in commercial, financial, or energy sector environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial and analytical skills, alongside a deep understanding of business energy supply and collections. You will have a track record of setting and delivering collection strategies for complex customer portfolios, supported by exceptional communication and influencing abilities to build and maintain relationships at all levels. Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets and financial controls, you will also have a solid knowledge of the legal and regulatory frameworks governing debt collection. A degree-level education or equivalent professional experience is required, along with resilience and adaptability to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
