Are you ready to help shape cleaner energy projects by leading major works packages that bring large‑scale solar and battery infrastructure to life? At EDF Power Solutions, your expertise will support safe, efficient delivery across some of the UK’s most ambitious renewable developments and directly contribute to our net zero ambitions.

The role of PV EPC Works Package Manager gives you the chance to make a meaningful impact by managing critical construction packages across a nationally significant project. You’ll guide activities that help deliver major solar and battery assets, ensuring safe and effective progress from design acceptance through to handover. You’ll work closely with technical specialists, contractors and project leads to help shape the quality and reliability of vital renewable infrastructure.

You’ll build on your experience of delivering complex engineering or construction projects while developing capability across contract management, risk control and multidisciplinary coordination. You’ll apply your knowledge of PV, BESS and substation systems to support successful construction outcomes, while gaining exposure to large infrastructure delivery and significant professional learning opportunities.

This role is site based in Essex near Chelmsford for the duration of construction. You’ll also attend project meetings at our London offices as required.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Works Package Manager who is organised, proactive and confident leading activity across large, technically complex environments. You’ll bring a clear focus on safety, progress and quality while working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.

  • Strong background delivering projects within complex environments, ideally within Renewable Energy or similar industries
  • A desirable is to have degree in engineering, construction or equivalent
  • Professional qualification in Project Management such as APM PPQ or equivalent
  • Detailed understanding of PV, BESS or Substation infrastructure covering installation, commissioning and or operation
  • Experience working with DNOs or TNOs with understanding of grid code compliance
  • Track record delivering projects in technically challenging environments while maintaining high safety and environmental standards

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing enabling works and PV EPC packages through design acceptance to delivery
  • Leading contractor oversight to maintain agreed safety, quality, time and cost outcomes
  • Coordinating engineering, commissioning, quality and commercial inputs to support progress
  • Managing risks, reporting project performance and ensuring compliance with required standards
  • Supporting integration across related systems including SCADA, security and substation interfaces
