As an I&C Project Manager at EDF UK, you'll be at the heart of delivering essential Instrumentation and Control engineering solutions for Hinkley Point C. The Opportunity

At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes. As an I&C Project Manager, you'll oversee the full lifecycle of Instrumentation and Control activities - from engineering and procurement to installation and commissioning. You'll work closely with a Senior Project Manager to ensure delivery aligns with safety, quality, time, and cost expectations. You'll be part of the Hinkley Point C Project, which is delivering two European Pressurised Reactor (EPR) power stations in Somerset, with a combined output of 3.3GW. EDF, as the majority shareholder and Principal Contractor, is leading this 96-month construction project that will power millions of homes for the next 60 years.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for planning and delivering I&C work packages, ensuring the right resources are in place and SQEP compliant. You'll support the Senior Project Manager in aligning strategies with the Programme Execution Plan and maintaining strong communication with stakeholders. Your focus will be on delivering safely, on time, and within budget. You'll monitor progress, manage risks, and escalate issues when needed. You'll also support schedule development and ensure alignment with the wider project timeline. You'll help foster a culture of continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and collaborating across programmes. You'll ensure contractual obligations are met and contribute to the overall success of one of the UK's most significant energy projects.

Who You Are

We're looking for a candidate with a solid background in Instrumentation and Control, with hands-on experience or a strong track record in project management working within engineering or I&C. You bring proven leadership experience in complex projects and a solid understanding of CDM Regulations. Your analytical and critical thinking skills are matched by your ability to apply tools like estimating, scheduling, risk management, and Earned Value Management. You understand the importance of nuclear quality and how it's maintained. You've worked on multi-discipline EPCM projects and have experience managing complex contracts, controlling costs and schedules, and handling commercial claims. You're confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels in regulated environments and have experience working within NEC and FIDIC commercial frameworks. You're ready to bring your expertise to a project that's shaping the UK's energy future.
