The Opportunity
You will be responsible for embedding governance, performance and assurance across the project's complex supply chain, helping us deliver a safer, smarter and more sustainable future. From shaping governance frameworks to driving assurance reviews, you will be at the heart of how we manage commercial risk and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall leadership of the Governance, Performance and Assurance services across the Supply Chain Directorate, including direct line management of staff and people managers.
- Develop and maintain processes and toolkits to support the commercial and procurement lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain relationships between improvement initiatives, governance, strategy and planning functions across the company, aligned to the company vision and Sizewell C's supply chain.
- Oversee improvements to governance processes, ensuring alignment with Project Controls, PMO Operations, and Project Excellence functions.
- Manage the Performance Management Framework with appropriate reporting cadence for multiple stakeholders including Executive Office, Investors, Government, and Ofgem.
- Represent the Directorate on governance forums and panels, including inter-regulatory working groups.
- Ensure compliance with Sizewell C's unique regulatory environment, including RAB licence conditions, Ofgem reporting requirements (RIGs – Regulatory Instructions and Guidance), ONR nuclear site licence conditions, and Environment Agency requirements.
- Manage baseline training implementation and ensure project awareness of baseline requirements.
- Oversee requirements management frameworks and traceability systems.
- Develop and implement data-driven reporting systems, leveraging data platforms to empower decision-makers.
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in delivering governance, performance and/or assurance activities at a senior level, in highly regulated industries or nuclear environments.
- Commercial management experience with NEC and/or FIDIC contracts, ideally including Professional Services Contracts (PSCs) or embedded contractor arrangements.
- Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, with advantage if you have experience with:
- Nuclear site licence conditions and ONR requirements.
- Regulated Asset Base (RAB) models or similar regulated infrastructure frameworks.
- Government entities, e.g. HM Treasury, DESNZ.
