You will be responsible for...
- Oversee UK indirect tax and Importer of Record taxes, ensuring accurate VAT handling.
- Partner with Supply Chain to optimize VAT efficiency and manage risk.
- Lead compliance, reporting, and governance for indirect taxes.
- Engage with HMRC and other stakeholders to ensure timely submissions and resolve queries.
- Provide expert advice on indirect tax legislation and its impact on business transactions.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks, implementing controls and process improvements.
Our ideal candidate will have...
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in tax, with at least 5 years focused on indirect tax.
- International Exposure: Strong background in international indirect tax, customs experience highly desirable but not essential.
- Technical Skills: SAP expertise is essential.
- Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent preferred but not essential if relevant experience is held.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities.
