The Opportunity

As a Cyber Security Operations Manager, you’ll join our Nuclear Services business – our technical centre of excellence, which supports our fleet of nuclear power stations and our nuclear new-build projects. In this role, you’ll lead across cyber operations and threat intelligence, be a key part of the incident response capability and engage with our Security Operations Centre ensuring our nuclear businesses stay resilient against evolving risks. You’ll also shape awareness and training across the organisation, helping colleagues understand the cyber threat, associated risk and how to manage it. From engaging with regulators to building strong partnerships, your work will strengthen trust, performance and long‑term security. This is a hybrid role where our teams are present for 2‑3 days a week at Gloucester Business Park, with the expectation you may join our nuclear emergency scheme and therefore need to live within a one‑hour commute of this office. There will be the need to travel periodically to our nuclear sites.

Who You Are

As a Cyber Security Operations Manager, you bring strong leadership, clear communication and a practical approach to managing cyber operational risk in complex environments. You build trusted relationships and balance security needs with business priorities.

Are you experienced in…?

  • Managing cyber incident response and coordinating high‑severity incidents
  • Delivering cyber threat intelligence and translating insights into risk actions
  • Applying recognised frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO27001, IEC62443 or similar standards
  • Building stakeholder relationships across technical teams, regulators and external partners

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Clearance (SC), which will, ordinarily, require you to have British residency for the last five years.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading cyber operations, ensuring effective and secure day‑to‑day delivery, providing Management Information to senior governance committees on the health and effectiveness of our cyber security response
  • Coordinating incident response supporting the incident response team and acting as a key link during major events
  • Managing the cyber threat intelligence service to inform risk and decision‑making
  • Developing training, awareness and communication to strengthen cyber culture
  • Building relationships with regulators, partners and internal stakeholders
