The Opportunity
As a Full Stack Software Engineer with strong React expertise, you’ll play a key role in building the web platforms that power how small businesses connect with customers, sell, and grow. Your work will directly support EDF’s wider mission as we continue our journey towards An Electric Britain. You’ll join us on a salary starting of £63,000 per annum, with a hybrid setup across London, Hove, Exeter. You can work from home, with the option to collaborate in person monthly – or more often if you prefer. This is a React‑heavy role (70–80%), where you’ll design and build high‑quality, scalable front‑end applications using TypeScript and modern frameworks. Alongside this, you’ll contribute across the stack – integrating APIs, working with AWS, improving CI/CD pipelines, and using AI tools to enhance how we build and deliver software.
Who You Are
- You’re a React‑focused Full Stack Engineer who cares about performance, clean code, and delivering real value to users.
- You’re confident owning front‑end development, while still contributing across backend and cloud when needed.
- Building production‑grade React applications with strong TypeScript skills.
- Creating scalable, reusable front‑end architectures (e.g. component libraries, micro frontends).
- Managing state, async data flows, and complex UI behaviour in modern React apps.
- Integrating front ends with REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Developing backend services with Node.js or Python.
- Deploying and running applications on AWS (cloud‑native / event‑driven environments).
