The Opportunity

As Metering Services Manager, you’ll have a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality metering outcomes for our Business and Wholesale customers across all meter types. You’ll help drive EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain, with a focus on improving meter health, data quality and operational performance beyond baseline compliance. You’ll influence the in‑life customer experience, support delivery under MHHS, and play a key role in shaping how we improve outcomes through smarter use of data, systems and ways of working. This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home alongside occasional travel to our Exeter – Gadeon House office to connect, collaborate and support key operational activity.

Who You Are

  • Energy sector experience, ideally with knowledge of meter operator activity, metering processes, meter health, data flows and market change such as MHHS
  • Proven operational leadership with accountability for right‑first‑time performance and service quality
  • Experience leading and developing teams while driving automation and simplification
  • Strong analytical capability, using data to prioritise improvements and optimise performance
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and industry partners

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading end‑to‑end delivery of metering services, ensuring high‑quality, right‑first‑time outcomes across ADS and SDS
  • Owning and optimising operational processes including onboarding, novations, triage, fault resolution and job closure
  • Driving automation, standardisation and continuous improvement with Technology, Data, Commercial and Product teams
  • Providing day‑to‑day people leadership, setting clear expectations and coaching teams to deliver strong performance
  • Representing EDF with industry bodies, suppliers and operational forums
  • Identifying operational risks, data quality issues and performance gaps, and delivering sustainable solutions
