Full‑time, permanent position based in Bridgewater, Somerset with the objective to relocate to France. The Risk & Schedule Assurance Lead will strengthen delivery confidence on the national nuclear program Hinkley Point C, providing independent insight that shapes decisions at the highest levels.

Join the Safety & Schedule Assurance function supporting the delivery of Hinkley Point C, a national project advancing the transition to an electric Britain. You will provide independent oversight and challenge across project controls, risk and schedule management, ensuring integrated baselines, critical paths and milestones are robust, understood, and achievable. Your analysis and insight will influence delivery teams, senior leaders and governance forums to strengthen confidence in cost, schedule and risk performance. Salary starts at c.£80,000 per annum, based primarily at SDC, Bridgewater, with regular travel to the construction site and other project locations. Proficiency in French is required. The role offers leadership and assurance development within a regulated nuclear environment and progression to EPR2 projects in France such as Penly, Bugey or Gravelines.

Qualifications

  • Expert assurance across project controls, including schedule, risk and performance reporting, within large‑scale infrastructure or nuclear environments
  • Ability to analyze complex project data to assess governance adherence, identify emerging risks and recommend corrective actions
  • Experience in highly regulated industries, with strong awareness of nuclear safety culture and regulatory expectations
  • Experience supporting integrated planning structures, including multi‑level schedules, look‑ahead planning and baseline control
  • Strong influencing skills: conveying clear, evidence‑based advice to senior leaders, delivery teams and PMO functions
  • Proficiency in project controls and reporting tools such as Power BI, P6 or equivalent scheduling and performance systems
  • French‑speaking skills or willingness to attain professional‑level proficiency by the time of relocation

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent risk and schedule assurance across delivery teams, PMO and governance forums
  • Analyze schedule, risk and performance data to identify trends, gaps and areas of delivery concern
  • Challenge the effectiveness and completeness of mitigation actions and project controls processes
  • Attend and contribute to project reviews, risk workshops and schedule forums
  • Share clear, actionable insights with delivery teams and senior leaders to support confident decision‑making
