As a Project Manager, you’ll help deliver engineering and construction work packages essential to the success of Hinkley Point C. Your leadership will support the transition towards An Electric Britain, keeping safety, quality and progress at the heart of everything we do. Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this role is based at HPC with some flexible working as agreed with your Line Manager. You will need to be based within commutable distance of HPC. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders across the project environment to drive performance and progress. You’ll guide delivery across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities. From managing schedules and risks to influencing diverse teams, you’ll develop in a role shaped by learning, responsibility and impact while contributing to our journey towards An Electric Britain.
We’re looking for a Project Manager who brings strong leadership, effective decision making and a clear focus on safe, high quality delivery. To be shortlisted, you need to offer:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management aligned to the APM Project Manager Competency Framework
- Demonstrated understanding of EPR design
- Demonstrated understanding of Leadership within complex projects
- Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Proficient numeracy, analytical and critical reasoning skills
- Proficient use of estimating, scheduling, programming, risk and Earned Value Management tools
- Excellent presentation, influencing and facilitation skills
- Good working knowledge of French language
- Understanding of nuclear quality requirements and how these are assured and controlled
- Ability to apply a graded approach to quality
- Degree and chartered status in construction, engineering or another relevant discipline
- Professional Project Management qualification such as APM PPQ or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Demonstrated success in managing or developing engineering design, contract and field execution strategies
- Demonstrated success delivering multi discipline Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPCM) projects
- Working knowledge and management experience of construction activities
- Experience procuring and managing complex contracts
- Experience controlling costs, risk, schedule and change
- Experience managing commercial claims and negotiation
- Successful experience engaging multi level stakeholders in a regulated environment
- Proven experience operating within NEC and FIDIC commercial arrangements
- Demonstrated experience managing major projects from concept to handover in a complex, dynamic and highly regulated environment, ideally in the nuclear sector
