You’ll make a tangible impact on safety, quality, and performance—because at EDF, “Success is Personal”.
The Opportunity:
- As a Project Manager within the Balance of Plant (BoP) area at Hinkley Point C, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex installation and commissioning contracts tied to ancillary buildings.
- This technically demanding position involves leading multidisciplinary teams, managing contractor performance, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to budget.
- You’ll interface with key stakeholders across design, construction, and delivery, taking full accountability for contract management, change control, and lifecycle delivery in support of EDF’s journey towards an Electric Britain.
- This role is based on site at Hinkley Point C, with two days per week onsite and one day from our Bridgwater or Bristol office. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed in line with project needs.
This role offers significant scope and responsibility, giving you exposure to large‑scale contract governance, financial control, and complex stakeholder engagement. You’ll strengthen your expertise in regulated environments while working alongside experienced professionals and industry specialists, with opportunities to develop your leadership capability and broaden your project management credentials across a nationally critical programme.
Who You Are:
- Proven experience delivering projects in technically complex, highly regulated environments (e.g. nuclear, energy, infrastructure).
- Experience managing contractors and supply chains across large‑scale construction or engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. APM, PRINCE2) and lifecycle delivery.
- Demonstrable experience in contract management, including variations, claims, and change control.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and risk using relevant tools and systems.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with multinational stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading the delivery of contracts across installation and commissioning scopes for ancillary buildings.
- Managing contractor performance, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Overseeing contract administration, including variations, claims, and technical queries.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and resolving issues across the project lifecycle.
- Driving change control processes, ensuring robust governance and minimal impact on live contracts.
