About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at HPC to join our Maintenance Technical Advice Group as a Technical Advice Engineer (TAG). You will be a pivotal part of the Comm‑Ops Maintenance organisation, ensuring that our plant is fit for its operational life and supporting the wider organisation with technical expertise.
You will work with maintenance technicians on systems handed over for maintenance or surveillance, provide technical advice for decision‑making, manage maintenance delivery work, support the equipment programme, collaborate with commissioning teams and designers, and visit suppliers for testing and training.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide engineering oversight and technical support to a team of craft technicians to deliver plant repairs.
- Use your Electrical Engineering background to give engineering and technical advice on breakdown defects.
- Support care and maintenance activities, ensuring all work complies with site licence requirements, regulations, company and local directives, procedures, and safety rules.
- Identify plant issues, troubleshoot activities, and ensure robust corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, and use OPEX to promote learning within the organisation.
Who You Are
- Experience working in a team to deliver exceptional performance within company processes.
- Industrial and operational engineering experience with a strong safety bias.
- Engineering background with a drive to identify and resolve issues focusing on safety, quality, time and cost.
- Experience working within highly regulated requirements.
- Engineering qualification at HNC level or equivalent.
